By accessing or using TERA·ENGINE Map ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
These Terms apply to all users, including users of the Free plan. By creating an account or clicking "Get started", you represent that you are at least 13 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement.
TERA·ENGINE Map is a browser-based geospatial mapping tool that lets you view global terrain, climate, infrastructure, and land-cover datasets; draw and style site polygons; run analysis widgets (sun path, wind rose, sky dome, radiation rose); and export your work in standard formats (GeoJSON, SHP, KML, DXF, SVG).
Geospatial data is for informational and planning-reference purposes only. It is not a substitute for licensed surveying, engineering assessments, official zoning decisions, or professional advice. Do not use outputs in life-safety-critical applications.
We may update, expand, or discontinue features at any time with reasonable notice.
You must provide accurate and complete information when registering. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password and for all activity that occurs under your account.
Notify us immediately at connecttera@gmail.com if you suspect unauthorized access to your account. We are not liable for losses resulting from unauthorized use due to your failure to protect your credentials.
One account per person. You may not share your account or credentials with others.
Free plan: Available at no charge with access to core features and a limited dataset set. No credit card required.
Pro plan: Billed at $10/month, or $27 every 3 months (equivalent to $9/month). Includes full dataset access, priority tile rendering, and extended export options. Billing is handled by Xendit; by subscribing you agree to their payment terms. Subscriptions auto-renew; cancel any time from Account Settings before your next renewal date.
Max plan: Coming soon. Will include AI copilot features. Pricing will be announced at launch.
Refunds: We offer a 7-day refund for Pro subscriptions if you have not made substantial use of paid features. Contact us within 7 days of billing. After 7 days, payments are non-refundable except where required by Indonesian consumer law (UU No. 8 Tahun 1999).
We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice. Price changes take effect at your next renewal date.
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Violate any applicable local, national, or international law or regulation
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or systematically download dataset tiles beyond your plan limits
- Use the Service for surveillance, tracking, or profiling of individuals without their consent
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our servers, backend infrastructure, or other users' data
- Resell or redistribute the Service or its raw dataset outputs as a competing product without a written commercial license from us
- Use automated means to create accounts or submit data at volumes that degrade service for other users
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules without refund.
You retain full ownership of the project data you create in TERA·ENGINE Map — your site polygons, viewports, settings, and exported files. We claim no intellectual property rights over your content.
You grant us a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store and transmit your content solely to provide the Service. We do not use your project data to train AI models, share it with third parties, or access it except to provide support at your request.
You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to upload and process any data you import (e.g., Shapefiles from a third party). Do not import data that you do not have the right to use.
On account deletion, all your stored project data is permanently deleted within 30 days. We recommend exporting your data before closing your account.
The Service uses geospatial datasets from third-party sources (including NASA MERRA-2, ESA WorldCover, Copernicus GLO-30 DEM, WorldPop, MODIS, JRC, GHSL, OpenStreetMap contributors, Global Energy Monitor, and TeleGeography). Each dataset carries its own attribution and license requirements, shown in the app at the time of use.
OpenStreetMap data (used in the basemap and some infrastructure layers) is © OpenStreetMap contributors, licensed under the Open Database License (ODbL). You must retain this attribution in any derivative work you publish.
We are not responsible for errors, gaps, or outdatedness in third-party datasets. Verify critical data against authoritative official sources before making decisions.
The TERA·ENGINE Map application (UI, code, branding, and original data pipelines) is © 2026 Matt Manangka. All rights reserved. The name "TERA·ENGINE" and related marks are unregistered trademarks of Matt Manangka.
You may not copy, reproduce, modify, or redistribute any part of the Service — including the application code or interface — without our express written permission. The map viewer application is not open-source.
Certain libraries used in the app are open-source (MapLibre GL JS © MapLibre contributors, Apache 2.0; Space Mono © Google, OFL 1.1; and others listed in the app attribution). Their licenses govern their use.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement.
We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that geospatial data will be current, accurate, or complete. Satellite imagery, terrain data, and infrastructure datasets are third-party sources and may contain errors.
Geospatial analysis outputs (sun path, radiation estimates, contour lines, zoning info) are approximations for planning reference only. They are not certified survey or engineering outputs.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to loss of profits, data loss, or project delays.
Our total liability to you for any claim arising from the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $20 USD (whichever is greater).
Nothing in these Terms limits liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, or death or personal injury caused by our negligence.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Matt Manangka and any associated personnel from and against any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of: (a) your use of the Service; (b) your violation of these Terms; or (c) your violation of any third-party rights, including intellectual property or data rights.
You may close your account at any time from Account Settings. Closing your account cancels any active subscription (no automatic refund for the current billing period) and queues your data for deletion within 30 days.
We may suspend or terminate your account immediately if you materially breach these Terms, with or without notice. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you by email before termination unless the breach is severe (e.g., illegal activity, security threat). In the event of termination by us without cause, we will refund any unused prepaid subscription fees.
Sections 6 (Your content), 8 (IP), 9 (Disclaimers), 10 (Limitation of liability), 11 (Indemnification), and 13 (Governing law) survive termination.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Indonesia, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of DKI Jakarta, Indonesia.
If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
We may update these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by email and by updating the effective date above. Continued use of the Service after the new effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
If we make changes that materially reduce your rights, we will provide at least 14 days' notice before the changes take effect, giving you the opportunity to close your account and receive a prorated refund of any prepaid subscription.
